Damian Minnis

Damian co-founded per DM limited in 1994 to provide consultancy, project management and programme office services to the broadcasting, finance and telecommunications industries.

Customers of per DM limited include: BBC, CSFB, Barclays Capital, Reuters, The Netherlands PTT, Citibank, Henderson Investors, UIB, UIBIM, AIB Investment Services, Goodbody Stockbrokers, Instinet, Lombard Odier & Cie, Bank Julius Baer, Salomon Brothers International, Micrognosis, Creditantstalt, Baring Securities and ADP.

Recent projects include:
  • Establishing the technical infrastructure strategy for the new headquarters building for BBC Scotland. Responsible for technologies including; structured wiring, networks, VoIP, Video, TV and Radio distribution.
  • Managing stakeholder involvement in the gathering of user requirements through to user acceptance of the new headquarters building for BBC Scotland. Responsible for M+E requirements, Room Layout Sheet process, Change Control, Snagging, Building Acceptance and final contract reconciliation.
  • Establishing the front office market data and video distribution strategy for the Zurich office of Credit Suisse First Boston.
  • Project managing the market data services and distribution systems selection and installation at Barclays Capital new headquarters building at Canary Wharf.
  • Providing programme office services for multiple market data projects at Barclays Capital.

Previous Employment History

Infact Limited - 1989 to 1994

Damian was Principal Consultant with Infact a medium sized independent IT consultancy specialising in the Financial and Telecommunications markets. Damian project managed a number of investment bank relocation projects, provided consultancy services to suppliers of front office services and systems and also provided programme office services. Whilst at Infact, Damian also spent many years as the Secretary of the Information Providers User Group (IPUG) and was also the author of the publication Trading Room Data Systems in association with Cambridge Market Intelligence.

Retuers - 1985 to 1989

As Technical Project Manager at Reuters, Damian was responsible for the development of video switch equipment and intelligent keyboards used within the front office of investment banks.

Westinghouse Systems - 1983 to 1985

Damian joined Westinghouse as a software engineer direct from University. Westinghouse Systems developed telemetry control systems for large scale utilities such as water treatment plants and electricity supply and distribution companies.
